ניסיון — כיצד בדקנו את הכלי

  • We uploaded batches of 20+ mixed TXT, DOCX and PDF files and verified that the combined totals match the sum of the individual files.
  • We tested rejected-file handling: unsupported formats, files over 10 MB and damaged PDFs all return a clear error instead of a wrong result.
  • CSV export was checked in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice, including file names with non-ASCII characters.

מומחיות — כיצד פועלת הספירה

Files are parsed on the server: TXT is read as UTF-8, DOCX is unzipped and the text of word/document.xml extracted, and PDF text is taken from the page content streams. Character and word counts use the same rules as the General Counter, so numbers stay consistent between tools. Files are held in memory only for the duration of the request.

Scanned PDFs without a text layer return little or no text, and password-protected or heavily formatted documents may give incomplete results. Files exist only for the current request, but please never upload confidential documents to any third-party service.
